Coming off its first bowl win in program history, the Georgia State football team opens season two of Georgia State Stadium facing Kennesaw State on Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. It will also mark the ninth-straight season opening the year at home.

The Panthers are coming off a record-setting year that saw them going 7-5 and win the AutoNation Cure Bowl over Western Kentucky.

Second-year head coach Shawn Elliott returns looking to build momentum off a season that saw Georgia State set school records on defense, while building an offense that also had some of its most productive games in program history.

Need help with school supplies? By attending all home football games at GSU Stadium, you will go into the running for the Aspen Heights Student Sweepstakes. One lucky student will be randomly selected to win $500 to go towards books, class supplies, and/or dorm room materials. Make sure you attend all games to be in the running!

Georgia’s Own Credit Union - Dash For Cash

One lucky fan will have the opportunity to win cash courtesy of Georgia’s Own Credit Union during each home football game. The selected fan will have :10 seconds to run from end zone to end zone, with the opportunity to win $10 per yard! Be on the lookout for our marketing staff who will be selecting participants in game.

Kroger Tailgater of the Game

Kroger presents the Tailgater of the Game! During each home football game the best tailgate will be selected and dubbed “Tailgater of the Game” – the winning tailgate will receive $100 gift card from Kroger! Get there early to be in the running.

You’ve Been Newk’d

Each pre-game a fan tailgate will be selected for having an uneventful or food-lacking tailgate party. The “winning” tailgate will be awarded with a Newk’s Gift Card for future tailgate catering.

Taco Mac Wings are for Winners

After each GSU Panther victory, all fans in attendance will receive free six (6) pack of wings at Taco Mac. Offer is redeemable with ticket stub or student ID, and valid MondayFriday following the game.

Willy’s Lucky Fan of the Game

Willy’s Mexican Grill will be providing a “Lucky Fan” with $50 gift card for showing the best school spirit. Winner will be selected in game, so  make sure to get to there on time – the Lucky Fan is selected early!

Free T-shirts! 100 Midtown will host a t-shirt toss during each football game. Make sure you show your school spirit during the 100 Midtown t-Shirt toss so our Cheer Squad can spot you!

Panther Walk

Georgia State football fans can show their school pride by showing up for PantherWalk approximately two hours before kick. This season, PantherWalk will take place at the corner of Capitol Ave. and Georgia Ave. The team buses will park along Capitol and then walk through the crowd before heading into Georgia State Stadium.

Panther Athletic Club Tailgate

New for 2017, the Panther Athletic Club Tailgate will open 90 minutes before the game (when gates open) and be located in the State House Grill just off Victory Plaza. The tailgate will allow fans to watch pregame festivities from inside the stadium and remain open until 15 minutes prior to kickoff. Teammate Level ($100) members and above can enter the tailgate by checking in at the door. The pass admits immediate family members and up to two additional guests. Refreshments will be provided at each tailgate.

Getting to the game has never been easier with ample parking as well as efficient shuttle service linking campus and stadium. Use this section to find the shuttle route best for you and your pre-game activities. (Note: shuttle service varies based on weekday and weekend games)

Entrance Gates

Gates 7 and 8 will be the primary gates open for the 2017 season, however, other gates will be open as demand indicates.
